Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at 9425-7698 Quebec Inc. as a key member of our culinary team.

Job Summary:

The Executive Chef will be responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods for our customers. This includes determining food portion sizes and costs, planning menus, and estimating food requirements. The successful candidate will also be responsible for requisitioning food and kitchen supplies, preparing dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and inspecting kitchens and food service areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Planning: Plan and develop menus that meet the needs of our customers and align with our company's culinary vision.
  • Culinary Operations: Supervise and coordinate the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food is handled, stored, and prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and company policies.
  • Team Management: Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, dishwashers, and other support staff, to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure that the kitchen and food service areas are clean and well-maintained, meeting the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant.
  • Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, standing for extended periods, and working in a fast-paced environment.
