Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation: Determine the size of food portions and costs, plan menus and estimate food requirements, and prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
  • Kitchen Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, inspect kitchens and food service areas, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and manage kitchen operations.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
  • Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
