Job Summary:The Executive Chef will be responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods for our customers. This includes determining food portion sizes and costs, planning menus, and estimating food requirements. The successful candidate will also be responsible for requisitioning food and kitchen supplies, preparing dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and inspecting kitchens and food service areas.
Key Responsibilities:- Menu Planning: Plan and develop menus that meet the needs of our customers and align with our company's culinary vision.
- Culinary Operations: Supervise and coordinate the preparation and cooking of meals, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Food Safety and Quality: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and quality standards.
- Staff Management: Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
- Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Language: English.
- Work Setting: Restaurant.
