We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our bridge and infrastructure construction projects. As a Project Manager at EBC Inc., you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing tender documents to determine the scope of work, including scheduling and project planning;
  • Collaborating with the Site Superintendent to ensure project success;
  • Providing leadership and establishing effective relationships with clients, staff, subcontractors, consultants, and workers;
  • Informing Senior Project Managers of project development and discussing methods to meet schedule and budget;
  • Ordering critical materials with suppliers in collaboration with the Superintendent;
  • Performing quantity tracking and cost coding for productivity analysis and accurate cost forecasting;
  • Preparing daily reports related to crew progress and issues;
  • Planning and monitoring appointed projects;
  • Providing document control for correspondence, submittals, RFIs, NCRs, etc.;
  • Assisting in the preparation of final records for the project, including as-built;
  • Organizing and participating in various meetings;
  • Establishing and maintaining necessary communications between suppliers, subcontractors, professionals, and the client;
  • Assisting in carrying out basic field duties at the job site related to general construction;
  • Extensive traveling is expected;

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or Civil Engineering Technology;
  • Related job experience of 7-10 years in construction project management;
  • Previous work experience in Civil Engineering Construction, including bridges, infrastructure, tunneling, water/sewer, and/or heavy civil construction is required;
  • Bridge and Metrolinx experience would be considered an asset;
  • Advanced skills in communication and problem-solving;
  • Initiative and leadership;
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, and Bluebeam;
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task;
  • Advanced skills in management, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving;
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work;
  • Must be willing to work on various project sites within the region.
