About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Specialist to join our team at CO_65 Bird Industrial Management Services Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity to work on large infrastructure projects and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project cost and revenue budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Oversee daily timesheet labor, equipment, and procurement costs, allocating them to the correct CBS code.
  • Assess and report on project committed, incurred, and forecasted costs, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Produce project and portfolio cost and cashflow reporting, as well as Earned Value Management reporting.
  • Coordinate with the construction management team to ensure direct and subcontractor trades productivity is managed and incorporated into cost forecasting.
  • Manage the project monthly invoicing process, ensuring timely preparation and submission.
  • Coordinate with the finance team to track project receivables and manage cost management analysis for internal Profit and Loss Quarterly reporting.
  • Ensure project risk and contingency are accounted for and managed appropriately.
  • Aid in the development of continuous improvement reporting for the Construction Management team.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field, and/or relevant combination of experience.
  • 7+ years of Project Controls experience, preferably on large infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management and Project Management Software.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with a focus on Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Motivated, confident, and possess a get-it-done attitude, with a commitment to positive team dynamics.
