We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Frankie's Italian Kitchen & Bar Winnipeg Ltd. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Prepare and cook food to order, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Develop and implement menus that meet our quality standards and cater to customer preferences.
- Train and mentor junior staff members in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations, including obtaining and maintaining relevant certifications.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an Italian cuisine setting.
- Proven track record of maintaining high food quality standards and ensuring efficient kitchen operations.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and motivate team members.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
