Italian Kitchen Team Member

We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our team at Frankie's Italian Kitchen & Bar Winnipeg Ltd. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining high-quality food standards, managing kitchen operations, and leading a team of cooks and kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory levels.
- Prepare and cook food to meet quality standards, ensuring consistency and presentation.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies, managing inventory and minimizing waste.
- Develop and implement menu plans, ensuring alignment with kitchen operations and customer preferences.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an Italian cuisine kitchen.
- Safe Food Handling certificate and other relevant certifications.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Fluency in English, with ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers.
- 35-40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
