Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Technologist II to join our team at the Core Laboratory in a hospital setting. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including routine and specialized tests, to ensure accurate and timely results.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including routine and specialized tests, to ensure accurate and timely results.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens, including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microscopes, centrifuges, and automated analyzers.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure smooth operation of the laboratory and to resolve any issues that may arise.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies.
Requirements
- Graduate of a recognized medical laboratory technology program.
- Minimum of one year of recent experience in a laboratory setting.
- Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) certification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
