Job Summary

Crawford & Company is seeking a highly skilled Content Claims Specialist - Field to join our team. As a Content Claims Specialist - Field, you will play a critical role in the company's content claims handling operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as an intermediary between insurance company property adjusters and policyholders to assist with inventory and valuations of policyholders/claimants' total loss contents.
  • Process content claims accurately and timely using the company's claims handling methodology and content claims processing and pricing platform - exclaim.
  • Operate from a home-based office and be assigned new claim files on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Record all daily claims handling activity, including hours worked/time spent per task, and fulfill all administrative job duties.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct onsite visits to meet adjusters/policyholders and industry vendors to conduct inventory of total loss contents.
  • Ensure consistent and quality/turnaround of all claims in accordance with the company's productivity and performance standards.
  • Work with other teams to organize/direct resources required for completing inventory and LKQ valuation of total loss contents in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Adhere to the company's commitment to timely and informative updates on the content claims process to adjusters/policyholders.
  • Complete/submit detailed work/time logs daily for all claim tasks completed.
  • Maintain claim-related notes in the company's platform exclaim related to various tasks involved in handling the claim.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion/pricing of all outstanding items not priced via other teams and adhering to Like, Kind and Quality (LKQ) standards.
  • Consistently promote the company's brand, image, and reputation in a professional and positive manner.
  • May be exposed to diverse conditions (cold, heat, rain, debris, etc.).
Requirements
  • Secondary School diploma.
  • Ability to work independently in most circumstances with minimal supervision.
  • Some prior background/experience in the Property claims industry would be considered an asset.
  • Able to provide an adequate workspace, free of noise.
  • Employee must provide their own high-speed internet service.
  • Company equipment including laptop will be provided. It is the employee's responsibility to care and maintain the equipment, as per policy.
  • Own vehicle and valid driver's license.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required. Any business-related expense would be covered by the company.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office/Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and new technology.
  • Willingness to learn and continuously improve.
