Experience a dynamic work environment as a Technical Support Specialist with CB Canada in our commodities sector client's team. This exciting opportunity is initially set at 3-months and has the possibility of going permanent for the ideal fit.

As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be primarily based on-site in Downtown Vancouver but also provide remote and occasionally on-site support to satellite offices in Squamish. There is the possibility to work from home one or two days per week, providing there are no tasks to be completed in office. Additionally, candidate must possess a valid drivers licence to be considered.

This role involves:

  • New user deployment + setup and exiting users takedown
  • Ticket response (Nexus system); up to tier 2, leverage HQ in Asia for more complicated tickets; walk-up support for on-site staff
  • Oversee procurement and manage incoming and outgoing inventory
  • Assist with projects as needed by HQ in Asia
  • Occasionally visit Squamish site to direct external vendors and assist with other IT related projects

The successful candidate should have:

  • 3+ years experience providing high volume tier 2 support in a windows 365 environment
  • Comfortable with walk-up's to resolve urgent tier 1 tickets
  • In-depth knowledge of networking, VOIP, Windows 10, and supporting mobile devices, and CCTV's
  • Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess a valid BC drivers license
  • Willing to travel to multiple locations to provide support
