PHSA provides comprehensive cancer control for the people of British Columbia, part of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) that plans, manages and evaluates specialized health services with the BC health authorities to provide equitable and cost-effective healthcare for people throughout the province.

Role Summary

We are seeking an Administrative Coordinator for Cancer Operations to join our team. This is a permanent full-time opportunity based in Vancouver, BC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Cancer Operations department, including responding to verbal and written communication, liaising internally and externally, and coordinating meetings and events.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including meeting minutes, reports, and correspondence.
  • Prepare and update various documents, including reports, presentations, and spreadsheets, using Microsoft Office applications at an intermediate level.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, expense reimbursements, and invoices, utilizing an expenditure tracking system.
  • Support leadership in setting a positive, collaborative tone for the department.
Requirements
  • A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to Grade 12 plus graduation from a formal secretarial program plus three (3) years recent related experience.
  • Demonstrate ability to work both independently and collaboratively, resolve administrative issues/problems, prioritize workload, and be flexible to meet and adapt to changes in organizational priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including the ability to respond professionally, courteously, and in a clear manner.
