Job Title: Senior Planner

Mobilinx is seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner to join our team in Oakville. As a key member of our project controls team, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating critical path schedules for our on-going construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain project schedules with input from project teams
  • Work closely with project controls to integrate P6 scheduling with Maestro accounting system
  • Determine reasonable schedule logic and constraints based on discussion with technical and business teams
  • Assign resources (cost, labour, equipment, and materials) to activities and develop cash flow reports and resource histograms
  • Evaluate critical and near critical path activity sequences
  • Assess actual progress based on site inspections
  • Identify schedule changes and trends
  • Develop earned value reports and suggest corrective actions
  • Prepare time and cost delay claims
  • Support risk allocation and value engineering workshops
  • Prepare post-construction as-built schedules and lessons learned reports
Requirements:
  • University or College education in a relevant field (B. Eng. or Construction Engineering Technology program)
  • 10+ years' experience in construction-related activities
  • 10+ years' experience in scheduling-related activities
  • Proficient experience in Primavera projects (P6) and report preparation skills
  • Strong to expertise level using Excel
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in LRT, Railway, Transit, and typical linear civil construction projects
  • Experience working in projects, engineering, and construction
  • Ability to complete assigned projects on time
  • Excellent communication, organization, time-management, and leadership skills
  • Ability to quickly earn the trust of peers, project teams, and key project stakeholders
