Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Planner to join our team at oilandgas. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling activities, preparing project schedules, and monitoring progress.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support project planning and scheduling activities, including preparing project schedules, load resource/budget schedules, and setting up baseline schedules.
  2. Extract Primavera data files and send to the cost controller.
  3. Monitor and control the progress of work against the schedule, identifying and explaining variances between current schedule, plan, earned values, and forecasts.
  4. Prepare and update resource requirements reports and provide guidance and support to lower-level planners.
  5. Interface with other project control teams to maintain an integrated cost-schedule project control system.

Requirements

  1. University degree (B. Eng, BCom, etc).
  2. 10+ years of relevant cost control experience, preferably in engineering and construction projects environment.
  3. Proficient in MS Office suite of software, especially Microsoft Excel; preferably thorough knowledge of Primavera P6 and ability to learn new software as per company standards.
  4. Expert knowledge of project management techniques and several years of hands-on experience (i.e., critical path method, progress measurement, and earned value technique), with experience in project planning, analyzing, and reporting.
  5. Ability to establish priorities and work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
  6. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, solid report writing, communication, and presentation skills. Effective problem-solving skills with a results-oriented approach and strong analytical skills.
