Job Description

Project Planning and Cost Control

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Project Planner. As a key member of our project controls team, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling activities, preparing project schedules, and monitoring and controlling project progress.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning: Develop and maintain project schedules, resource allocation plans, and budget schedules.
  2. Cost Control: Monitor and control project costs, identify and explain variances, and provide regular updates to project stakeholders.
  3. Progress Measurement: Ensure proper progress measurement is in place for all projects and portfolios, and advise on areas of concern that could prevent meeting project objectives.
  4. Interface with Project Teams: Collaborate with other project control teams to maintain an integrated cost-schedule project control system.

Requirements:

  1. 10+ years of relevant cost control experience, preferably in engineering and construction projects environment.
  2. Proficient in MS Office suite of software, especially Microsoft Excel; preferably thorough knowledge of Primavera P6 and ability to learn new software as per company standards.
  3. Expert knowledge of project management techniques and several years of hands-on experience (i.e., critical path method, progress measurement, and earned value technique).
  4. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, solid report writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  5. Ability to work well with clients and alliance partners, with staff, build and maintain good working relationships with the Project Controls team.
