Software International is a leading provider of technical talent to top clients in Canada and the US.

We are currently hiring for a Business Transformation Lead - M&A position in our global IT M&A team based in the Toronto area.

The salary range for this role is $125,000 - $145,000 as base compensation, with additional bonuses and benefits.

Job Description:

In this role, you will work closely with senior leadership members to manage diverse projects across various areas, including market assessment and analysis, competitive landscape assessment, reporting and dashboarding, standardization of critical KPIs, and industry trends and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to formulate strategy recommendations.
  • Analyze and synthesize key insights from diverse data sources to drive strategy and inform decision-making.
  • Promote thought leadership by developing reusable data assets.
  • Support leaders in strategic planning and long-term business strategy development.
  • Collaborate across departments like Finance, M&A, and portfolio teams for in-depth research and analysis.
  • Assess organic growth opportunities and contribute to fostering a culture of innovation.
  • Undertake special projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business, economics, engineering, mathematics, philosophy, or related fields.
  • 5 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, or a similar analytical role, with a background in the software industry being advantageous.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills to derive and deliver key insights from data.
  • High-level competency of data visualization tools (Power BI is a plus) and proficient in Excel and PowerPoint for effective reporting.
  • Solid knowledge of business financials and operations.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships at the executive level.
  • Skilled in synthesizing trends and consolidating findings into meaningful, visually appealing formats for presentations to executives.
  • Excellent project management skills, communication abilities, and a self-starter attitude.
