Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Chief Transformation Officer to lead the end-to-end delivery of our Finance IT's critical multi-year CFO Transformation Technology & Data workstream. This role will involve overseeing multiple large cross-platform programs, ensuring enterprise-wide strategic goals and objectives are accomplished within approved time frames, scope, and budget.

About the Role
  • Lead delivery on multiple concurrent initiatives with high amounts of value (benefit/cost), complexity, and uncertainty or manage sub-programs within a very large program.
  • Develop strategies to ensure all workstreams are cohesive and in line with organizational goals, providing guidance during planning stages of large-scale enterprise-wise initiatives.
  • Create clarity out of ambiguity, focusing effort on the most valuable outcomes.
Responsibilities
  1. Lead activities on planning, delivery, and implementation to ensure enterprise-wide strategic goals and objectives are accomplished.
  2. Evaluate and provide guidance during general and detailed planning stages of large-scale enterprise-wise initiatives.
  3. Develop the case for change, supporting the design of a holistic end-state transformation roadmap, working with the CFO and IT delivery teams.
  4. Integrate plans at program level, creating estimating models as required, refining plans, and managing performance against them.
  5. Anticipate and quantify tactical, operational, and strategic risks using a risk-based approach to forecasting.
  6. Establish a process for identifying issues, resolving complex problems, and escalating to executive/steering committees as necessary.
  7. Manage resource planning and project scheduling, establishing policies and procedures that produce high-quality and sustainable results.
  8. Champion and operationalize strong program governance and execution assurance processes.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience managing large and complex transformation programs.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, including expertise in written and oral communication skills, presentation skills, and strategic thinking.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and time management capabilities, along with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Expert knowledge of a broad spectrum of IT infrastructure, systems, and services, and a strong understanding of the financial services industry.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment, such as a large publicly-traded corporation, and familiarity with RBC's Program Management Framework.
