Strategic Payroll and Benefits Manager

Payscale: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum.
We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Payroll and Benefits Manager to oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employee categories in compliance with legislative standards. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in full-cycle payroll processing and working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now.
Pension Administration Responsibilities:
• Plan, manage, control, and monitor all aspects of pension plans ensuring operational oversight and leadership of the pension and payroll team.
• Act as the pension contact for all Payroll enquiries with the Ontario Pension Board and OPTrust.
• Administer the defined pension plan, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements and alignment with strategic financial planning.
Benefits Administration Responsibilities:
• Lead the comprehensive administration of all employee benefits programs as per the benefit plan.
• Ensure that all benefits are administered in alignment with company policies, government regulations, and best practices.
Audit & Reporting Responsibilities:
• Accountable for establishing and overseeing Payroll and Pension audit principles and processes for pay processing cycle, pension administration and reporting, and compliance with all legislative payroll/pension reporting and remittance obligations.
• Guaranteed timely preparation and distribution of year-end employee tax slips and forms.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum 10 years' experience in full-cycle payroll processing.
• Working Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now (required).
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Designation.
• Organizes, coordinates and schedules resources necessary for payroll related processing.
