Full Time Intervenor to Support People Who Are Deafblind

Sensity Deafblind and Sensory Support Network of Canada is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Full Time Intervenor to join our team. As a Full Time Intervenor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who are deafblind, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
Key Responsibilities- Support individuals in their home and community environments, promoting independence and autonomy.
- Utilize effective communication techniques to relay information and facilitate interaction.
- Empower individuals to participate and succeed in daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
- Provide personal care as required, including lifts and transfers, toileting, and medication administration.
- Assist in developing and supporting individual goals and objectives, promoting personal growth and development.
- Contribute to program development, ensuring that services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation and records.
- Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program, or a related human services field.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors.
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions.
- Communication skills in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE).
- A valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a clean current driver's abstract.
- A competitive wage starting at $23.03/hour.
