At Sensity Deafblind and Sensory Support Network of Canada, we are committed to providing exceptional support to individuals who are deafblind. We are seeking a Part Time Intervenor to join our team in Glenburnie, ON.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support communication and day-to-day living for individuals who are living with dual sensory impairment.
  • Use communication techniques to relay information and empower individuals to participate and be successful in all aspects of daily living.
  • Provide personal care as required, including lifts and transfers, toileting, personal hygiene, medication administration, etc.
  • Assist with developing and supporting individual goals and objectives.
  • Ensure documentation and records are complete.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program, or a related human services field.
  • Experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors.
  • Experience supporting persons with mental health conditions.
  • Communication in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE).
  • A valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a clean current driver's abstract.
