About the Opportunity

The Assiniboine Park Conservancy is seeking an experienced Education Program Manager to lead strategic initiatives for our education and summer programs teams. This role oversees the development and implementation of a comprehensive education strategy, ensuring that deliverables are of high quality and align with the park's mission.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee program and project timelines for the department, including budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement education programs, including guided school and group tours, self-guided programs, APC camps, and preschool programs.
  • Support diversity and inclusion strategies by establishing connections with diverse community organizations and Indigenous groups.
  • Promote indigenous culture, history, perspectives, and methodologies in educational programs.
  • Communicate effectively with Indigenous communities, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Pedagogy, Business Administration, Cultural Studies, or Recreation Management.
  • 3+ years of experience in programming, budgeting, business development, and financial reporting.
  • Proven understanding of Indigenous culture, history, perspectives, knowledges, methodologies, and cultural practices.
  • Experience engaging with Indigenous communities, including Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and other community members.
