The Assiniboine Park Conservancy is seeking an experienced Education Program Manager to lead strategic initiatives for our education and summer programs teams. This role oversees the development and implementation of a comprehensive education strategy, ensuring that deliverables are of high quality and align with the park's mission.
Responsibilities- Oversee program and project timelines for the department, including budgeting and financial reporting.
- Develop and implement education programs, including guided school and group tours, self-guided programs, APC camps, and preschool programs.
- Support diversity and inclusion strategies by establishing connections with diverse community organizations and Indigenous groups.
- Promote indigenous culture, history, perspectives, and methodologies in educational programs.
- Communicate effectively with Indigenous communities, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Pedagogy, Business Administration, Cultural Studies, or Recreation Management.
- 3+ years of experience in programming, budgeting, business development, and financial reporting.
- Proven understanding of Indigenous culture, history, perspectives, knowledges, methodologies, and cultural practices.
- Experience engaging with Indigenous communities, including Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and other community members.
- Comprehensive health and dental plan.
