Facilities Coordinator

FortisBC is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including security systems, maintenance, and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer the operation of security systems, including responding to security concerns and communicating with staff and management.
- Ensure facility services such as heating, ventilation, and air conditioning are maintained to applicable standards.
- Coordinate and administer service contracts, including preparing scope of work and purchase requisitions.
- Develop and maintain a list of contractors for invitation to tender.
- Perform duties of a minor nature related to the above duties, including driving a vehicle.
- Successful completion of a Certificate in Facilities Management, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
- Four years of directly related relevant experience, including one year of experience managing facility projects.
- Working knowledge of computer systems operations and various applications software.
- Oral, interpersonal, negotiating, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to read and interpret building construction drawings.
