Restaurant Assistant Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team at Rocky's Donair Ltd. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of staff to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operations Management: Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching and guidance, and make decisions on staffing and scheduling to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service, address complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner, and provide feedback to staff on areas for improvement.
  • Financial Management: Cost products and services, negotiate with suppliers, and manage budgets to ensure profitability and efficiency.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory, ensure that stock levels are adequate, and implement procedures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, and that staff are trained and equipped to handle emergency situations.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure, and strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Office, and electronic cash registers.
Working Conditions:
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced restaurant environment with tight deadlines and high pressure.
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, lifting, and bending.
