Agricultural Sales Director

A dynamic and ambitious National Heating Sales Manager is sought to spearhead the growth of our sales team in Western Canada. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record in senior sales management roles, with a deep understanding of the agriculture industry.
Role Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing sales and support team, driving revenue growth through strategic planning and execution. This role involves developing and implementing detailed sales strategies and budgets, as well as overseeing the operations of the sales team, Regional Sales Managers, and retail locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans to achieve sales targets
- Lead and manage a high-performing sales team, providing coaching and training to ensure excellent performance
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers and retail locations to drive sales growth and improve operational efficiency
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and suppliers
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Business or Agriculture
- Minimum 8 years in senior sales management roles, overseeing Sales Representatives from a regional or national sales perspective
- Minimum 15 years in the agriculture sales sector with a strong understanding of the ag industry
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely
Salary
$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience
