About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at Integrated Sustainability. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our projects that span multiple disciplines, delivering high-quality and sustainable solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and oversee various technical Civil, Geotechnical, and Environmental engineering tasks, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  2. Develop and implement complex engineering and field programs, focusing on Civil and Geotechnical engineering designs.
  3. Review and authenticate engineering reports, including Design Basis Memorandums, Geotechnical Reports, and Construction Completions Reports.
  4. Supervise the development of and authenticate dam safety-related studies and reports.
  5. Perform site visits and site inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  6. Mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  7. Develop and implement cost estimates and schedules for project deliverables.
  8. Foster critical relationships with clients, technical and non-technical staff, government representatives, and technology suppliers.
  9. Interface with other departments to develop and implement multi-disciplinary project strategies.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited curriculum in Engineering with specialization in Civil or Environmental Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology.
  2. Minimum 15+ years of applicable experience in industry or the consulting sector.
  3. Registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  1. Experience with storm and sanitary sewer design, stormwater management design, and modeling.
  2. Experience with Civil earthworks designs related to stormwater reservoirs, earthen structures, small and large earthen dams, surface water management, roadways, underground piping, and site grading.
  3. Experience with preparation of clear and comprehensive reports, construction execution plans, technical notes, and client presentations.
  4. Experience with client-facing roles.
  5. Experience with geotechnical design and analysis, using slope stability software.
  6. Excellent English communication skills, and experience in preparing and reviewing technical reports.
  7. Proven leadership, business development, and client communication skills.
  8. Knowledge of key North American industrial sectors, such as mining or oil and gas, is an asset.
  9. Legally able to work in Canada.
  10. Have a valid driver's license.
