About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Calgary, AB. As a key member of our infrastructure development team, you will be responsible for designing and managing civil systems associated with municipal water and/or wastewater/drainage conveyance facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Senior Engineers with the design of civil systems, including municipal water and/or wastewater/drainage conveyance facilities.
  • Perform construction inspections and contract administration.
  • Prepare documentation for design projects and reports.
  • Prepare construction cost estimates.
  • Assist in the preparation of project specifications and contract documents.
  • Additional responsibilities will include assistance with proposal preparation, contract preparation and negotiation, and coordination with regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • 2 years of related experience with civil engineering, design, construction inspection, and contract administration.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with municipal water, wastewater, and/or stormwater conveyance and pumping infrastructure.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Registered as EIT (or ability to do so within 6 months)
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and clients.
  • Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Experience in the condition assessment of municipal infrastructure is a benefit.
  • Experience in proposal writing and job scoping is a benefit.
