We specialize in the design, execution, and operational support of facilities in the oil and gas sector, focusing on natural gas, conventional oil, heavy oil, carbon capture, and pipeline initiatives.
Our clientele includes some of the most prominent oil and gas producers both in Canada and globally.The Senior Manager of the Civil Engineering Department is responsible for guiding the strategic vision, development, and oversight of the civil engineering team within the organization.
This position demands a distinctive combination of technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and managerial acumen to guarantee the successful execution of projects and the efficient functioning of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of the Civil Engineering department.
- Estimate engineering hours and manage the civil scope for various projects.
- Ensure civil designs align with the expectations of both the client and Equinox.
- Deliver designs for a diverse range of project sizes, from well pads to extensive facilities.
- Guarantee that projects are finalized within the stipulated timeframes and budget constraints.
- Maintain the quality and precision of all deliverables.
- Create technical scope documents tailored to clients, conduct technical assessments, and finalize contract documentation.
- Develop and implement civil department standards, procedures, and specifications.
- Ensure effective dissemination of project information to all team members.
- Coordinate staff compensation, performance evaluations, and training initiatives.
- Demonstrate experience in managing civil engineering teams, including global collaboration.
- Possess extensive knowledge of natural gas, conventional oil, and heavy oil facility design and construction.
- Have civil and structural design experience with steel and concrete structures, foundations, and earthworks.
- Exhibit proficiency in foundation design and analysis.
- Utilize structural software such as RISA 3D, Dyna 6, or equivalent tools.
- Have a solid understanding of construction industry codes and standards relevant to Oil and Gas Facilities.
- Possess a strong background in international structural codes and standards, particularly North American and Australian regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a focus on Structures.
