Job Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled Civil EIT to join our Water Business Group in Western Canada. As a key member of our team, you'll work on municipal infrastructure projects, site studies, and design, contract documentation, and graphic presentations. You'll also be responsible for project engineering and task management, performing site layout, grading, utility layout, and drainage, and conducting complex hydraulic and hydrologic modeling.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers in preparing municipal infrastructure projects, site studies, and design
- Provide project engineering and task management
- Perform site layout, grading, utility layout, and drainage
- Conduct complex hydraulic and hydrologic modeling
- Collect, assimilate, and present data in reports, memos, and public forums
- Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
- Perform administrative duties associated with project management for civil/site projects
- Work independently on small projects or assist senior engineers on larger projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
- Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with civil engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil 3D
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
