Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Civil EIT to join our Water Business Group in Western Canada. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in supporting our growth initiatives and delivering exceptional results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior engineers in preparing municipal infrastructure projects, site studies, and design, contract documentation, and graphic presentations.
  • Provide project engineering and task management, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Perform overall site layout, grading, utility layout, and drainage, applying your expertise to drive project success.
  • Conduct complex hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, analyzing data to inform project decisions.
  • Collect, assimilate, and present data in reports, memos, and public forums, effectively communicating with stakeholders.
  • Perform routine engineering assignments, applying standard techniques and procedures to deliver results.
  • Assist with administrative duties associated with project management for civil/site projects, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Work independently on small projects or assist senior engineers on larger projects, demonstrating your ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related experience in civil or environmental projects, with a strong track record of delivering results.
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software, with a demonstrated ability to apply your skills to drive project success.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word, as well as AutoCAD, GIS, and MicroStation, with a strong understanding of civil engineering software.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with a strong academic record.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate, with a demonstrated commitment to professional development.
  • Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, with a strong understanding of civil engineering software, including Bentley ConceptStation and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil 3D.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
