We are seeking a highly skilled Benefits Consultant to join our team in Montreal.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a career-minded individual to work with our dynamic team and contribute to the growth of our company. As a Benefits Consultant, you will be responsible for assisting Benefit Consultants with client management requirements, focusing on retention of assigned business and supporting business development activities.

Responsibilities
  • Perform financial analysis of insurance data and cost modeling;
  • Prepare financial analysis reports and presentations communicating key results to clients;
  • Maintain strong relationships and participate in negotiations with insurers and partners;
  • Respond to inquiries from clients and insurers;
  • Participate in calls and presentations with clients as appropriate;
  • Help develop strategic recommendations for clients and participate in new business development;
  • Take the initiative in developing internal processes and tools;
  • Manage quality and timeliness of client deliverables;
  • Assist in keeping the internal database and tracker up-to-date;
  • Participate in reviewing and validating work done by colleagues and other team members;
  • Play a proactive role in establishing and maintaining best practices;
  • Maintain and develop internal technical knowledge;
  • Participate in training new colleagues and junior team members;
  • Develop and promote our company as a key player in the market with excellent industry knowledge;
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related field;
  • 1+ years of experience in consulting or group benefits insurance;
  • ASA / ACIA designation of the Society of Actuaries (SOA) / Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA), an asset;
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills;
  • Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English, as the candidate will interact in English with stakeholders outside Quebec;
  • Attention to detail and quality;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel including VBA;
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
Salary and Benefits

Our estimated salary for this position is between $65,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a competitive benefits package including medical and dental coverage, telemedicine, employee and family assistance program, retirement and savings programs, and a hybrid work program allowing for a good work-life balance.
