Purchasing and Inventory Management Coordinator

New-Firmus Contracting BC Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing and Inventory Management Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning and organizing the operational logistics of our organization, ensuring the efficient movement of supplies and materials between departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and organize operational logistics, including revising the type and quantity of materials required for production, construction, and other projects.
  • Track and complete work orders, coordinating activities with other work units or departments.
  • Monitor the movement of supplies and materials, ensuring proper functioning of equipment and maintaining inventory levels.
  • Prepare and submit reports, including progress and other reports, to management and stakeholders.
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work, requisitioning or ordering materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Supervise other workers, ensuring they have the necessary tools and equipment to perform their duties.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, or a related field.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in database software, spreadsheet, and MS Office applications.
