Purchasing and Inventory Management Coordinator

New-Firmus Contracting BC Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing and Inventory Management Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning and organizing the operational logistics of our organization, ensuring the efficient movement of supplies and materials between departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and organize operational logistics, including revising the type and quantity of materials required for production, construction, and other projects.
  • Track and complete work orders, coordinating activities with other work units or departments as needed.
  • Monitor the movement of supplies and materials, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing delays.
  • Prepare and submit reports on inventory levels, supply chain performance, and other key metrics.
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment and minimizing downtime.
  • Organize warehouse and work areas, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Coordinate traffic flow of supplies, ensuring smooth and timely delivery.
  • Prepare and maintain progress reports, providing insights into supply chain performance and areas for improvement.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing delays.
  • Keep track of shipments, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Supervise other workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, or a related field.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
