Purchasing and Inventory Management Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing and Inventory Management Coordinator to join our team at New-Firmus Contracting BC Inc.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and organizing operational logistics, revising material requirements, tracking work orders, and coordinating activities with other departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and organize operational logistics to ensure efficient supply chain management
  • Revised material requirements to meet production and construction needs
  • Track and complete work orders to ensure timely delivery
  • Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure seamless operations
  • Monitor movement of supplies and materials between departments
  • Prepare and submit reports to management
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work to ensure equipment functionality
  • Ensure proper functioning of equipment and machinery
  • Organize warehouse and work areas to optimize storage and accessibility
  • Coordinate traffic flow of supplies to minimize delays
  • Prepare and maintain progress reports to track inventory levels
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Keep track of shipments to ensure timely delivery
  • Organize and maintain inventory levels to meet production needs
  • Supervise other workers to ensure efficient operations
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in purchasing and inventory management
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
Working Conditions
