Payroll Coordinator

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Payroll Technician to join our team at EQUANS in Montreal. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for executing payroll operations, analyzing discrepancies, reconciling payroll, preparing remittance reports, and providing analytical reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll for all employees, including unionized and non-unionized staff, across multiple provinces in Canada.
- Prepare and submit CCQ reports and make remittances for other unions.
- Communicate with supervisors to address payroll discrepancies and ensure corrections are made.
- Ensure payroll calculations comply with laws and collective agreements.
- Open and maintain employee files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Prepare departure pay and employment records.
- Ensure accurate treatment of deductions (source deductions) for all employees.
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide support.
- Perform other related tasks as required by your supervisor or role.
Requirements
- Authorized to work in Canada.
- Diploma in accounting or equivalent.
- Member of the ACP, an asset.
- Minimum three to five years of relevant experience in payroll and benefits processing.
- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce is an asset.
- Knowledge of US payroll processing is an asset.
- Bilingualism (French and English, spoken and written).
