Overview

The University of Waterloo seeks an experienced Undergraduate Program Coordinator and Advisor to join our team. As a key member of the department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our undergraduate students.

Job Description

This is a full-time, permanent position that reports directly to the Associate Chair, Undergraduate Studies. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional student support and advisement services to undergraduate students, as well as coordinating administrative tasks related to the delivery of undergraduate programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advises undergraduate students on academic-related matters, including course selection, program planning, and progression.
  • Collaborates with faculty members, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of undergraduate programs.
  • Coordinates and implements administrative tasks related to undergraduate programming, including course scheduling, timetabling, and resource allocation.
  • Serves as a liaison between the department and various university offices, including Student Awards and Financial Aid, Registrar's Office, and UW Bookstore.
  • Maintains accurate records and databases related to undergraduate student information and provides data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a strong understanding of undergraduate education and experience working in an academic environment. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Administrative experience in an academic setting, preferably in undergraduate studies.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, LEARN, Quest, ASIS, and Infosilem would be an asset.
Working Conditions and Benefits

This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary range of $55,000-$65,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental coverage, pension plan, and generous vacation time.
