Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Benefits Consultant to join our team at People Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert consulting services to our clients, leveraging your knowledge of group benefits to deliver innovative solutions to complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Benefits Design and Management: Contribute to the overall design and management of group medical, dental, life, disability, and special risk benefits for clients, including developing and implementing strategies to support client retention and identifying client group insurance risks.
  • Client Support: Act as a second chair for medium to large clients, providing expert guidance and support to ensure seamless delivery of benefits services.
  • Quality and Timeliness: Manage the quality and timeliness of client deliverables, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of excellence.
  • Client Planning: Develop annual client plans to ensure clients receive value-added services and that work produced aligns with client goals and objectives.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Participate in client calls and meetings, assisting with the preparation of presentations, documents, and other materials as needed.
  • Client Expectations: Manage client expectations and effectively deal with concerns or issues, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Mentorship and Development: Mentor analysts/technical staff and other team members as needed, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years' progressive experience in group benefits in a client-facing or consulting capacity, providing strategic and innovative solutions to clients' complex benefits challenges.
  • Expertise: Deep expertise and understanding of the group benefits industry, including funding arrangements and flex programs.
  • Skills: Superior analytical and mathematical skills, strategic planning, communication, and listening skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Education: Completion of or the ability to complete the Life License Qualification Program (within 90 days of joining).
  • Designations: Group Benefits Associate (GBA) or CEBS designation or currently working towards it.
