Director of HIV/AIDS Marketing Strategy

Gilead Sciences, Inc. is a research-based biopharmaceutical company that discovers, develops, and commercializes innovative medicines in areas of unmet medical need. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Brand and Digital Marketing to lead the development and execution of the HIV/AIDS strategic business plan. This role will be responsible for leading a cross-functional therapeutic team and senior marketing professionals to drive the tactical execution and overall promotion/positioning for the HIV franchise. The ideal candidate will have excellent management skills, proficiency in performance management, planning, prioritization, objective setting, recruitment and selection, meeting management, and plan execution. They will also have the ability to utilize multiple sources of information to uncover insights relevant to the development of franchise strategy and tactical plans. The Director, Brand and Digital Marketing will contribute to the formation of franchise strategy for HIV/AIDS and the overall Brand Plan and Promotional Plan for Action (POA). They will lead the development of tactical plans, messaging and communication strategy, and other customer initiatives aligned to the field sales POA. The successful candidate will have a strong executive presence, ability to command respect through exercise of sound business judgment and clear decision-making. They will also have demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects/priorities. A bachelor's degree in marketing or related fields is required, and an advanced science degree such as MD, PharmD, PhD or an advanced business degree such as an MBA is desirable. Direct-to-Patient experience with a minimum of 3 years in product marketing or advertising focused on consumers or patients is required. An MBA degree or equivalent is preferred.
