The Kenan Advantage Group Inc., (KAG), is a leading North American tank truck transporter and logistics provider, delivering energy commodities, specialty products, merchant gases, and food products across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

As a Customer Service Specialist, you will provide support to the day-to-day operations in the Saskatoon Terminal by efficiently and professionally administering full-cycle customer service duties related to our drivers.

This role has the potential to evolve into a dispatcher position, offering opportunities for growth and development.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Days

About the Position:

  • Match drivers, trucks, and trailers to orders based on load requirements and qualifications while optimizing fleet resources and monitoring hours of service.
  • Establish proper last contents on equipment.
  • Arrange for equipment to be available for fleet maintenance.
  • Prepare trailer loading instructions with proper delivery information.
  • Communicate with drivers on any deviations with planned loads, routes, weather, changes, and ETA's.
  • Communicate schedule requests to the Assistant Terminal Manager.
  • Ensure payload is up to maximum GVW and was loaded as per instructions.
  • Monitor total mail and keep the system up to date.
  • Take customer orders by phone, email, and fax, and enter orders to the TMW system, providing confirmation of order to the customer.
  • Manage the Driver Pay Portal.

  • Prior dispatch and transportation experience is an asset.
  • You must be a forward-thinker, able to plan and foresee potential issues that may require the plan to be adjusted.
  • You have outstanding internal and external customer service and communication skills.
  • You take ownership of work responsibilities.
  • You have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • You can prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and work independently.
