Health and Safety Manager

Overview:
Wallenius Wilhelmsen is seeking a Health & Safety Supervisor to promote a safe and healthy workplace. The successful candidate will develop a safety culture for the facility and ensure that all employees understand that all accidents and injuries are preventable.
Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Safety Procedures: The Health & Safety Supervisor will be responsible for developing and implementing safety procedures to overcome obstacles and challenges faced by employees.
- Coach and Mentor Employees: The Health & Safety Supervisor will coach and mentor employees on how to work safely and promote a safety culture among employees.
- Conduct Safety Inspections and Audits: The Health & Safety Supervisor will conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in Accident/Incident Investigations: The Health & Safety Supervisor will assist in investigating accidents and incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and Update Safety Manuals and Policies: The Health & Safety Supervisor will assist in developing and updating safety manuals and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Advanced OFA Certificate: The Health & Safety Supervisor must hold an Advanced OFA certificate.
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Equivalent: The Health & Safety Supervisor must hold a CRSP certification or equivalent.
- High-Level Understanding of Occupational Hygiene Concepts and Principals: The Health & Safety Supervisor must have a high-level understanding of occupational hygiene concepts and principals.
- Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills: The Health & Safety Supervisor must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
