Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Wallenius Wilhelmsen. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in promoting a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and coaching to employees on safety protocols and procedures.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety awareness programs and campaigns.
- Develop and maintain safety manuals and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in safety meetings and provide updates on safety initiatives and progress.
- Advanced OFA certificate.
- Certification as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent.
- High-level understanding of occupational hygiene concepts and principles for oversight purposes.
- High-level understanding of fleet and driver safety programs.
- Education, training or experience specifically related to supervision, auditing, and event analysis.
- Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, training and coaching/mentoring skills.
- Proven interpersonal, communication, writing and digital literacy.
