Senior Associate, Regulatory Reporting and Analytics Specialist

Wealthsimple is seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate to join our Regulatory Reporting and Analytics team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for facilitating regulatory reporting for the Banking Operations team and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to build and improve current workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with finance teams to ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, data science, and finance teams to build and improve operational dashboards.
- Drive projects and problem-solve for the Brokerage and Banking Operations teams.
- Advise on key business decisions related to banking and treasury teams' needs.
- Showcase expertise in Payments Canada regulations and their application to our business.
- Relevant experience in payments operations, banking, and payments, or related fields.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and ability to use data to answer complex problems.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, with a focus on key priorities and regular updates.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various team members.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas simply and effectively.
- Proactive and action-oriented, with a focus on ownership and continuous improvement.
- Ability to produce significant output with minimal wasted effort, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
