Regulatory Reporting and Analytics Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Associate to join our Financial Operations and Compliance team at Wealthsimple. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in facilitating regulatory reporting for our Banking Operations team and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to build and improve current workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with various finance teams to facilitate regulatory reporting for the Banking Operations team.
- Collaborate with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders (product, engineering, data science, and finance) to build or improve current workflows.
- Build, maintain, and optimize operational dashboards as needed.
- Drive projects and problem-solve for the Brokerage and Banking Operations teams by connecting with the right teams/people together within and/or across teams.
- Be the voice of the Operations team and advise on key business decisions as it relates to our banking and treasury teams' needs.
- Showcase your understanding of the various Payments rails through your knowledge of Payments Canada regulations where applicable.
- Relevant Experience: demonstrated success in payments operations, banking and payments, or other operations roles in related fields.
- Data & Analytics: has strong proficiency in SQL, and a history of using data to answer complex problems.
- Organization & Planning: plans, organizes, and schedules in a productive manner, allowing for a focus on key priorities and regular updates.
- Collaboration: excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to work in collaboration with various team members.
- Strong Written & Verbal Communication: speaks plainly and truthfully. Communicates complex ideas in a simple & easy-to-understand way for any audience (e.g. engineering, 3rd party vendors, growth/operational teams, executive team).
- Problem Solving: if something seems off, you want to figure out what's going on; you enjoy navigating uncertainty, bringing clarity to ambiguity and don't wait for a playbook to be written.
