About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at St. George Banquet Hall Inc. as a key member of our culinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that meet the high standards of our clients and the culinary team.
    • Source and procure high-quality ingredients and supplies.
  • Culinary Leadership
    • Supervise and train a team of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff.
    • Ensure that all kitchen staff are aware of and adhere to food safety and quality standards.
  • Event Planning and Execution
    • Work closely with clients to plan and execute banquets, weddings, and other events.
    • Develop and implement event menus that meet the client's requirements and expectations.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels and ensure that all kitchen supplies and equipment are in good working order.
    • Order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Quality Control
    • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they meet high standards of cleanliness and organization.
    • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food safety and quality standards.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

The Executive Chef will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks. The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines is essential.
