Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at St. George Banquet Hall Inc. as a key member of our culinary team.

About the Role:
  • Lead a team of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff in the preparation and presentation of food for events and banquets.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menus to meet the high standards of our clients.
  • Supervise the ordering and inventory of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Collaborate with clients to plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Organize and execute buffets and banquets, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of food and supplies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve kitchen operations and menu offerings.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience as a senior chef or executive chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Proven track record of leading a team and developing and implementing new recipes and menus.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
