About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at 1595278 Ontario Corporation. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes to enhance our culinary offerings
    • Plan and execute menu items, ensuring timely and efficient preparation and presentation
  • Culinary Leadership
    • Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation
    • Provide guidance and support to junior chefs to develop their skills and knowledge
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels and ordering to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize waste
    • Monitor and control food costs to maintain profitability
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure that all menu items meet our high standards for quality and presentation
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to identify areas for improvement
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure that all kitchen staff follow proper food safety and handling procedures
    • Monitor and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a senior chef or executive chef role
  • Skills
    • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Working Conditions

The Executive Chef will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The role requires the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, as well as physical stamina to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
