Business Development Representative

Job Overview:
This role is a key contributor to the success of our commercial paint customers, working closely with them to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. As a Business Development Representative - Paint Solutions Specialist, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with wholesale customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and driving sales growth.
About the Role:
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional sales service
- Collaborate with customers to determine their needs and present suitable products and services
- Become a trusted advisor to wholesale customers, providing expert guidance on product features and benefits
- Process sales transactions accurately and in accordance with policies and procedures
- Maintain precise work order files and formulas
- Pull relevant products from the sales floor or warehouse
- Tint and mix products as needed, adhering to customer specifications
- Stock shelves and set up displays
- Clean store equipment
- Load/unload delivery trucks
- Assist with deliveries as required
- Maintain assigned areas in-stock and visually appealing
- Remain knowledgeable about products offered and discuss available options
- Comply with inventory control procedures
- Suggest ways to enhance sales performance
Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment
- Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally
- If internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have received at least a "meets expectations" (3) rating on your most recent performance appraisal
- If internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for your current position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hold a valid, unrestricted Driver's License
- Have at least a High School diploma or GED
- Have at least one (1) year experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
- Previous experience selling paint and paint-related products is highly desirable
- Able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated annual salary range for this role is $60,000 - $80,000, depending on location and experience. Additionally, you can expect competitive benefits and opportunities for career growth within The Sherwin-Williams Company.
