Job Title: Bookkeeper

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Meals on Wheels/La Popote roulante (Ottawa). As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Process payroll and benefits for employees, including calculating and preparing cheques for payroll.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including trial balance, and reconcile accounts.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Skills: Proficient in accounting software, including QuickBooks and Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
