At MNP, we're seeking a skilled Accountant to join our Assurance & Accounting team. As a trusted advisor, you'll provide comprehensive financial information to clients, enabling them to make informed decisions with confidence. Your responsibilities will include conducting compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping, and tax engagements, as well as setting up files for new clients and managing multiple files simultaneously. You'll also perform accounts receivable, accounts payable, capital asset acquisition and disposition, and payroll walk-throughs with clients. Additionally, you'll summarize clients' current financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other relevant reports. You'll assess the appropriateness of audit evidence for expenses, revenues, capital asset additions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and prepaid expenses. You'll review, investigate, and correct discrepancies and irregularities in financial entries, documents, and reports. You'll establish charts of accounts and prepare entries for posting to accounts. You'll also prepare correspondence, technical reports, client summaries, and presentations outlining engagement findings, facts, and highlights. Collaboration with the client engagement team and building relationships with client contacts are also essential aspects of this role.
