Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Professional to join our team at Jack R. Bowerman, CPA - Professional Corporation. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial statements.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management and other stakeholders.
  • Accounting Systems: Maintain and update accounting systems, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including preparation of tax returns and other tax-related documents.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in accounting, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in accounting software and systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficiency in accounting software, including ACCPAC, Accounting software, Caseware/Caseview, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, Quick Books, and Simply Accounting.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, judgment, organized, and reliable.
