Academic Operations Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Operations Strategist to join our team at NAIT. As a key member of our Academic Operations department, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of strategic plans to drive operational excellence across our institution.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement sustainable and actionable recommendations to improve operational processes and practices.
- Provide strategic advice and consulting services to academic program leaders and other stakeholders on portfolio operations.
- Lead and prepare resourcing processes to support the development and implementation of strategic plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement principles and strategies for consistency and accountability.
- Assist with planning and implementing strategic enrollment initiatives to drive student success.
- Collaborate with FMD/Space Planning teams to align capital resourcing and support the development of academic programs.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of academic operations' year-over-year critical path.
- Coordinate with program chairs, staff, and administrative functions to create smooth operational workflows.
- Monitor progress and adjust operational plans to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Support the administrative and resourcing components of program development, including market research, feasibility studies, and curriculum planning.
- Related post-secondary diploma (i.e. Business) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 3 years related experience in academic operations, business process improvement, or a related field.
- Knowledge of methods, techniques, and practices related to development of academic operational/business strategies and processes.
- Knowledge of related department policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of data analysis methods, techniques, and practices; and related skills using tools and software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, Tableau).
- Knowledge of operational and/or project management methods, techniques, and practices.
- Good understanding of general office administration procedures.
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to initiate, develop, and maintain professional relationships.
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
