About the Role

Mircom Group of Companies is seeking a seasoned Demand Generation Specialist to lead our marketing efforts and drive business growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to increase brand awareness, engage leads, and drive interest in our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Demand Generation Strategies: Create and oversee the annual plan, budget, and schedule for demand generation activities, including defining and communicating our unique selling proposition (USP) through compelling content, events, and engagements.
  • Lead and Manage a Team: Engage with peers in Product Marketing and Product Management early in the product development cycle to develop marketing strategies and plans, and lead a team of demand generation & event marketers to drive performance and achieve targets.
  • Monitor and Analyze Performance: Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance and return on investment (ROMI) of demand generation campaigns, using data-driven insights to optimize and improve results.
  • Oversee Industry Events: Develop and execute industry event strategies, including a mix of Mircom-owned client events and an annual calendar of industry trade shows.
  • Manage Digital and Account-Based Marketing: Oversee the creation and execution of digital and account-based-marketing (ABM) plans, including SEO, email marketing, social media, and content marketing.
  • Manage External Agencies: Manage an external agency to oversee the delivery of digital, creative, and technical services, including budget allocation, targeting strategies, and performance tracking.
  • Stay Informed on Industry Trends: Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital marketing, and evolve into Mircom's demand generation expert.
  • Oversee Website Operations: Oversee website operations to ensure it serves as an effective demand generation tool, managing SEO, content, technical performance, branding, and design.
Requirements and Skills
  • Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree: Post-secondary diploma or degree in marketing, business management, or a related program.
  • Experience in Demand Generation: A minimum of 5 years experience in marketing with a focus on demand generation and events.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience leading and managing a high-performing marketing team/business unit.
  • Proven Track Record: A proven track record in marketing achieving results and business objectives.
  • Industry Experience: Experience working in a manufacturing setting is an asset, and experience in the Fire, Life Safety, and Security industry is also an asset.
  • Marketing Automation: Familiarity with marketing automation, including ActiveCampaign and Hootsuite, is an asset.
  • Communication and Project Management Skills: Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Travel Requirements: Must be able to travel for live events, regional office visits, and field marketing.
